Information We Collect
We collect minimal information needed to provide our educational service. This includes account details (name, email address, child's handle and age), learning progress data (quiz scores, completed levels, time spent), and mascot customization choices. We do not collect real names for child profiles — children use a unique handle instead.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to operate and improve the numy platform. This includes personalizing the learning experience for each child, tracking progress for parent dashboards, sending essential service communications (password resets, subscription updates), and analyzing anonymized usage patterns to improve our educational content. We never sell your personal data.
Data Storage & Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use secure cloud infrastructure provided by Neon (PostgreSQL) and Vercel. Data is stored in the US region. We retain account data for as long as the account is active and for 90 days after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted. You can request data export or deletion at any time.
Children's Privacy
numy is designed with children's privacy as a core principle. We are COPPA-compliant and do not collect personal identifiable information from children. Child profiles use a pseudonymous handle (e.g., "cool-cat") rather than real names. No social features, chat, or public profiles exist on the platform. Parents have full control over their child's data and can review or delete it at any time from the parent dashboard.
Third-Party Services
We use limited third-party services to operate the platform: Neon (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), Resend (transactional emails), and Stripe (payment processing for Pro subscriptions). Each service provider is contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for any purpose other than providing the service. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising networks.
